Merry Christmas Everyone!

I had a dr. appointment today and everything is going just wonderfully, thank God! I was a little concerned about the glucose test (for gestational diabetes) but my numbers came back completely normal. Only 80 more days! That's CRAZY... but I am beginning to understand how women begin to look forward to having the baby now that I am in my 3rd trimester... for example, sleeping comfortably has become even more of a challenge than before. Last week, Peanut decided to sit on (or KICK) my sciatic nerve, and I had terrible back pain. With the help of my chiropractor, tons of pillows and our new TempurPedic mattress (a plug my wonderful yet obsessed husband INSISTED I include), I am feeling much better and getting enough rest. Oh, the joys of being pregnant! :)

I pray everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday ~ all the very best in the coming new year!

2 1/2 weeks until Christmas???

It's my favorite time of the year, (with the exception of the temperature) and I can't believe that Christmas is almost here! We don't have a tree yet! I have attempted to decorate a little inside the house, but school has been keeping me pretty busy. I am looking to sign up for our childbirth class at the hospital; it's amazing how in 10 days I'll be entering my THIRD trimester! The more I think about it, the more I can't believe that in a few short months there will be a baby in this house! I am still feeling pretty good; the nasal stuffiness has subsided with the help of a humidifier. Sleeping comfortably, however, has become a challenge, to say the least. Peanut has become more active and packing quite a punch lately! Most movement still happens in the evening - Peanut is doing his/her aerobics as I type this! At 26 weeks, the nerves in Peanut's ears are more sensitive than before, which means he/she may now be able to hear Sam's voice as well as mine! Peanut is around 2 pounds now and over 12 inches in length. I feel huge, so I can now only imagine how I'll feel in 2 months! Yikes!
