18 days and counting...

Only a week left in February, and March will FINALLY be here! I cannot wait! Thank God, bedrest is still agreeing with me; my blood pressure has not risen and the swelling is no where near as bad as it was before. I am taking advantage of being on bedrest and really RESTING since my days of having a quiet house all to myself are numbered! I don't think it will be too much longer until Little Peanut will make his/her arrival - now that I am full term, I am more than ready! Sam and I put the finishing touches on the nursery this past weekend ~ the pictures now are updated views from before. The nursery turned out more beautiful than I had imagined... Last Friday, Sam was surprised with a baby shower from his co-workers ~ I posted some of the pics below. It was fun to 'turn the tables' and put the spotlight on the daddy-to-be!

Well, I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow ~ I'll keep you posted!

My bags are packed...

February has been quite a month so far... I am doing well, but I have been put on bedrest until Little Peanut makes his/her first appearance! My blood pressure was a high normal and coupled with the swelling I had in my feet and ankles, the dr decided it would be best for me and Peanut to stay off my feet as much as possible. SO, since February 2nd, I've been taking it much easier and feel MUCH better; my blood pressure has been normal and I see the dr more often so they are closely monitoring me and the baby. Once I pass February 19th, I am considered a full term pregnancy, which puts my mind at ease. At this point, I could swear there is NO MORE ROOM for Peanut to grow, but he/she could be close to 6 pounds by now and as long as 19 inches - and he/she will continue to gain about an ounce a day until he/she makes his/her debut!

This past Saturday, I was totally surprised with my baby shower! We got tons of stuff, and now the nursery is REALLY coming together - I really have a wonderful family! Now with diapers, clothes, and baby gear in the house, I can see how one little baby can take up a TON of space! We're more excited than ever to meet him or her... 27 more days to go (or less!)
