Thanksgiving week... ALREADY?

It's hard for me to believe the Christmas season is about to arrive... November has gone by very fast. Little Peanut and I are doing well, as you can see from the picture taken this past week at school. I have, however, been suffering on and off with a stuffy nose for at least 3 weeks now- a symptom of pregnancy I will NOT miss! :) Other than that, the second trimester has been rather enjoyable - Peanut is now going through many wonderful changes - The inner ear is now developed, so he/she can hear things with more clarity than before. I have now begun to see his/her movements poking from my ever-expanding belly, as he/she has gained more control over arm and leg movements. The baby's sense of touch has also developed, which probably explains all the movement! Peanut tends to be more active when I am at rest, and I have noticed movement now early in the morning as I am waking up - gone are the days of sleeping in for me! Oh wow, there are only 110 more days until March 12th!

Hello and Welcome... I decided to move our Little Peanut's webpage because this one is much easier to access and update. Below are my previous posts from the babycountdown.com webpage, just in case you didn't read up! We're 3 days shy of 23 weeks ~ time truly has gone by fast! Hello everyone! I had my follow-up appointment today and the ultrasound shows that our little peanut is doing well and growth is right on target! :) I heard the heartbeat again today - it's funny how I know I could listen to that sound for hours! During the past couple days, he/ she has been moving more often and seems to be getting stronger every day! I have started to play classical music to the baby with a prenatal kit my mom got me - I feel more movement during the evening, and when I play the classical music, the baby seems to enjoy it! In a week of two, I'll pop in some salsa and see what happens!

I had my second ultrasound today! It was unbelievable to see his/ her arms and legs moving all around, little heart beating, and even catch a glimpse of his/ her footprint! As the baby is growing, so am I! Maternity clothes and sweatpants are my new best friends! Thank God the morning sickness is pretty much gone now, so now I don't have to eat every two hours!

I thought I felt movement before! Ha! Sam and I were watching the Yankees/ Red Sox game Tuesday night hoping to see the Red Sox take the lead in the 8th - all of a sudden I felt a whoosh - it startled me and Sam had his hand on my belly and felt it too! We just sat there for a second and I asked him, "Did you feel THAT?" Our peanut will most definitely be a baseball fan! :)

Sam and I spent a wonderful weekend in New York City enjoying the weather and the fact that I can still get around! For about a week now I have been feeling our peanut moving and while we were at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, I felt more activity than before. I majored in art history, so I was very quick to say the baby's excited about his/her first trip to a museum! Meanwhile, my husband would rather interpret the kicking as, "Get me out of here!"

Today was a great day - Sam was able to go with me to my doctor's appointment and we were able to hear our baby's heartbeat together! The doc has ordered a second ultrasound at around 20 weeks (I am 17 now) - I'm very excited to see another picture! It's hard to believe I'm close to the halfway point already... woohoo! :)

Well, I had my first ultrasound! It was so exciting- I got to hear his/her heartbeat and it finally hit me that I'm going to become a MOM! We have been on vacation in Florida the past few weeks, and we were able to tell our relatives there the wonderful news in person, which was very important to us. Time is certainly flying by!

What an eventful weekend! Needless to say, it was a weekend I will never forget. We got to share the news on four different occasions with different family members, and everyone was so happy! Now another milestone is here for me; I am headed for my first ultrasound tomorrow! I can't wait!

Well, today I had my first doctor's appointment. It was more like a consultation, but I also got my bloodwork done and scheduled my first ultrasound appointment. We are planning to tell our immediate family the wonderful news this weekend - I'll let you know how it goes! :)
